A collaborative visionary initiative of Israel’s Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, JFNA, and Prizmah to increase the number of students enrolled in Jewish schools across North America, executed by UnitEd
Project Aleph Bet in North America

Mission and Goals

With only less than 10% of approximately 1.34 million Jewish children in the United States attending Jewish day schools, Project Aleph Bet focuses on Jewish day schools and early childhood centers to increase enrollment, foster Jewish identities, and improve educational quality and connection to Israel.

About the Initiative

The initiative represents an unprecedented collaboration between Israeli government agencies, North American foundations, and educational organizations, all committed to creating a renaissance in Jewish day school education for generations to come. In the first phase of the initiative, partnerships were formed with 6 organizations in North America, each working through different approaches to increase the number of students in Jewish schools.
